Fabulous Fifties~Sock Hop FTU

This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP. Any similarity to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

:Supplies Needed:
PSP X3 but any version will work
Animation Shop
FTU Scrap Kit called Fabulous Fifties by Sky's the Limit Scraps found here
Tube of choice I am using FTU Artist Popeye Wong and his site is here
My Supplies here
Mask of choice I am using Mask 326 by Insatiable Dreams found here
Template by Lacarolita Designz found here
Font of choice I am using Barbie
Add Drop Shadow as you go with your settings at 2, 2, 65, 15
Let's Begin!
Open up the template and duplicate by holding down the Shift key and the letter D, close the original, delete the copyright layer, then resize. I resized mine to a tagger size of 460 x 460. You may need to resize some of the elements on the template. Flood fill the bottom layer white.
Then open up your tube from my supplies and right click, copy and paste as new layer. Position her to the right, see example above. Duplicate her 2 times for a total of 3.
On the first duplicate go to Image-Mirror and move her below the top frame on the left, then click on that frame layer on your layers palette, and using your magic wand click inside the frame then go to Selections-Modify-Expand by 3 then click on the duplicate tube layer on your layers palette, and go to Selections-Invert-hit delete on your keyboard then Select None. Your tube should now be inside the frame.
Now on the other duplicate tube you made move her below the second frame, and do these same steps as above that we did for the other tube.

*SPECIAL NOTE-the elements in this kit are huge so I had to resize each one*
Okay so lets start working the template itself. So on the rectangle to the right of template we are going to change that by using a paper, so open up paper 12 and right click, copy and paste as new layer, then click on the rectangle on your layers palette, and then go to Selections-Select All-Float-Defloat, then click on the paper layer on your layers palette,  and go to Selections-Invert-hit delete on your keyboard-Selections- Select None.
Using this same paper, right click, paste as new layer. Now we are going to put this paper on the 2 square frames on the top left side of the template. So click on the top frame on your layers palette, then go to Selections-Float-Defloat then click on the paper layer on your layers palette, go to Selections-Invert-hit delete on your keyboard-Selections- Select None. Follow these same steps for the other frame.

Now for the 2 gray squares that are below the frames, we are going to use Paper 9, so open up paper 9, right click, copy and paste as new layer, click on the square FRAME layer, not the gray square, but the square frame, and use your magic wand and click inside the frame, then to go to Selections-Modify-Expand by 3, then click on the paper 9 layer on your layers palette, and then go to Selections-Invert-hit delete on your keyboard-Selections-Select None. Follow these same steps for the other gray square using the same paper.
Now on the large star on the right of the template we are gonna use paper 8, so right click, copy and paste as new layer, then click on the star layer on your layers palette, go to Selections-Float-Defloat, then click on the paper 8 layer on your layers palette and then go to Selections-Invert-hit delete on your keyboard-Selections-Select None

Add any other elements you want making sure you copy and paste each one as a new layer.

Now on the 2 pink stars, and the pink circle frame, we are going to give it some bling LOL. So go up to Adjust-Add/Remove Noise-Add noise and use these settings
Now on the BIG black circle in the middle, we are going to use a gradient. So click on the circle layer on your layers palette, and then go to Selections-Float-Defloat then on your layers palette, right click add new raster layer ABOVE the black circle, then click on your flood fill tool, then click on gradient on your Materials palette
to get this gradient that I have click Edit and this window will pop up
then click close. Then flood fill the new raster layer you made with this gradient. So now open up paper 18, then right click copy and paste as new layer, then add your mask, invert your mask. Add your name and copyright info. Continue below of you want to animate

:Animation Shop:
Back in PSP close off all layers except for the large circle, then right click, copy merged and paste as new animation in AS. Then go to Effects-Insert Image Effect-click Rotate and click on customize and change maximum angle to 360, click okay, you should now have 8 frames. Select All, and minimize for now, this will be animation 1.

Now go back to PSP and close off the circle layer and open up your white background layer, your mask layer, and your copyright layer, right click copy merged and paste as new animation in AS. Then right click, copy and right click, paste after current frame, do this 6 more times for a total of 8 frames, select all, then minimize for now. This will be animation 2. Open up animation 1 (the large circle) and right click copy (all frames should still be selected) and paste onto animation 2 into selected frames(the frames should still be selected) minimize for now, this is still animation 2.

Now go back to PSP and close off those layers you just pasted over in AS, and open up all the other layers, (not the large circle either) and right click copy merged and paste as new animation in AS, right click copy, and right click paste after current frame. Copy and paste 6 more times for a total of 8 frames, then Select all frames, and right click copy and paste onto your animation 2.
View animation!
