Snowboard Fun FTU

This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP. Any similarity to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

:Supplies Needed:
PSP X3 but any version will work
Animation Shop
FTU Winter Wishes Scrap kit by Seven's Scraps found here
Tube of choice I am using Pinup Toons and you need a license to use his work found here
Mask of Choice I am using Mask WSL-345 found here
Font for my name is Minnie
Add Drop Shadow as you go with your settings at 2, 2, 65, 15

Let's Begin!
Open up a new image I like to use a tagger size of 461 x 461
 Flood fill white
Open up Snow 01, and right click, copy and paste as new layer, then go to Image-Mirror, duplicate then mirror again and move it under the first snow
Then open up sign 01, and right click, copy and paste as new layer and place between the 2 snow hills, add your writing on the signs like I did mine
then open up frame 10, right click, copy and paste as new layer. Then using your magic wand, click inside the frame, then go to Selections-Modify-Expand by 8, then open up paper 22 and right click, copy and paste as new layer, then go to Selections-Invert-Delete-Select None
Then open up your tube and right click, copy and paste as new layer and place her where I have mine.
Then open up paper 8 and right click, copy and paste as new layer and add your mask, invert your mask
Add your name and copyright info

If you would like to animate your tag please follow below to the rest of the tut

:Animation Shop:
Back in PSP duplicate your tube, close off the duplicate tube for now. Then right click, copy merged and go back to AS and right click, paste as new animation.
Then go back to PSP and open up your duplicate tube and move her down to the right a little using your first tube as a guideline, (so that you don't move her too far down from the original cause then it looks too jumpy instead of looking like she's gliding on snow), then close off the original tube, then right click, copy merged, go back to AS and right click, paste after current frame.
So you should now have 2 frames, so for your 3rd frame just copy your 1st frame, so right click, copy, then paste after your second frame. So basically your 1st and 3rd frame should be the same.
Then go back to PSP and open your original tube, then move your duplicate tube to the left of the original, like she's just sliding over to the left, then right click, copy merged and go back to AS and paste after current frame. You now have 4 frames.
Now highlight all 4 frames by holding down the Ctrl key+A, and then right click copy, then right click paste after current frame. You should now have a total of 8 frames.
Now on highlight Frame 1 and then right click, frame properties, and change it to 50. Now highlight frames 2-8 and to highlight more than one frame at a time, hold down your Ctrl key, then right click- frame properties and change it to 25

the white background,
your mask layer,
your copyright layer,
and your star shaped paper, not the star frame but the paper that you put below it, it should be in the shape of the star frame
Then right click, paste as new layer. You will now see the first snow frame on your blue star shaped paper, now with your eraser, erase the snow that is sticking out on the sides of the star shaped paper, so that way the snow is only on top of the star shaped paper. Then right click, copy merged and paste into animation shop as new animation.

Then in AS highlight the 2nd snow frame and right click, copy and then go back to PSP, and close off the snow layer you just did, and then right click, paste the 2nd snow frame as a new layer, and then like you did before erase the parts of the snow that are sticking out, right click, copy merged in AS after current frame. You should now have 2 frames.

Now keep repeating the same process for the rest of the 10 frames. When you are done you should have 10 frames in AS.
Now when you are done copying over the snow frames, go back to PSP and open up the rest of the layers but closing the ones you just worked on. So you should only have these layers open:
the actual star frame,
your tube,
the 2 stars,
the words, "Time for a Long Winters Nap",
your name,
and any other elements you used
Right click, copy merged and paste as new animation in AS, then right click, copy and paste after current frame, repeat this process for a total of 10 frames. Then Select All (ctrl+A) and right click, copy (all 10 frames), and paste onto your animation with the snow.

Tube of choice I am using Hellonlegs, she no longer allows to use her tubes, sorry I cannot supply

Mask of choice I am using Insatiable Dreams Mask 211 found here
My Supplies found here
I made the snow so feel free to share
Font used for "Winter Wonderland" is Milk & Cereal, font used for my name is miama
Add Drop Shadow as you go with your settings at 2, 2, 65, 15

Let's Begin!
Open up a new image I like to use a tagger size of 461 x 461
Flood fill white
So if you would like to learn how to make the snow follow these directions otherwise use the snow I supplied in my supplies.
Using your pen tool with these settings:
Draw freehand, Tracking 10, Create on vector checked, Straight line style, width size 3, Anti-alias checked, miter limit 15
Make sure your foreground/stroke and background/Fill are both on the color white
Start at the far left side of your tag and draw your snow kind of like a hill, moving your pen all the way across to the right side of your tag and keep the line straight as you move straight down on the right side and going all the way across back to the left side as straight as a line as you can, then move straight back up to the part where you first started drawing. You now have made a little snow hill/bank. Now go to Adjust-Add/Remove Noise-Add Noise- and uniform checked, and noise at 50% intensity

Okay now open up frame 3 and right click, copy and paste as new layer and tilt to the left a little so the fatter part of the frame is on the left, then use your magic wand and click inside the frame and then go to Selections-modify-expand by 10, then open up your background pic and right click, copy and paste as new layer and place below the frame, position where you would like it and then go to Selections-Invert-Delete-Deselect

Open up your tube, right click, copy and paste as new layer and position her where I have mine.

Open up any other elements you would like making sure you copy and paste each as a new layer.

Open up paper 10 and copy and paste as new layer then add your mask, invert your mask
Add your title, name and copyright

Add Drop Shadow as you go with your settings at 2, 2, 65, 15

Let's Begin!
Open up a new image I like to use a tagger size of 461 x 461
Flood fill white

Use your ellipse tool with your width setting set at 8 and draw out an oval frame, convert to raster and then go to Adjust-Add/Remove Noise-Add Noise-Gaussian and monochrome checked and noise intensity level at 100%. This will be the same setting you will use on the 2 rectangle frames as well. Then change to the rectangle tool and your width setting set at 4 draw out a a rectangle frame on the side of the oval you just drew and convert to raster, add the noise like you just did for the oval then duplicate-then go to Image-Mirror
The on your oval frame go to Selections-Select All-Float-Defloat-Modify-Expand by 3.Then open up paper 9 from the scrap kit and right click, copy, paste as new layer under the oval frame and then go to Selections-Invert-Delete-Deselect. Now do the same exact thing on the 2 rectangle frames but use paper 4
Now open up your tube and Right click, copy, and paste as new layer and place her in the middle of your oval frame, position her where you would like; Duplicate your tube. Then go to the left rectangle frame and with your magic wand click inside it and then go to Selections-Modify-Expand by 2, then put your duplicate tube and place her in the left rectangle frame, then go to Selections-Invert-Delete-Deselect, then duplicate that tube and then go to Image-Mirror and place her in the right rectangle frame. Then change the opacity on these 2 tubes to about 76
Then open up the tulip 2 and place under the frames you made, Duplicate and then go to Image-mirror, then duplicate again and go to Image-Flip, then duplicate again and mirror. Position the tulips how you like them, then add any of the other elements you want on your tag.
Now for the mask layer I made a gradient then used the flood fill. So for the gradient, click edit, then choose 3 colors, red, white, red in that order and then click close and you want to check Linear style, Angle: 36, and repeats:0, Click okay. Then use your Flood Fill tool, then add your mask then invert your mask.

Scrap kit New Years Glitter by Seven's Scraps found here
Tube of choice I am using Pinup Toons and you need a license for his work found here
Mask 304 by Insatiable Dreams found here
New Years Template by Caroline found here
Just scroll down a little it's in her Christmas templates
My supplies here
I made the 2010-2011 countdown so feel free to share
Font I used for my name is Champagne
Add Drop Shadow as you go with your settings at 2, 2, 65, 15
Let's Begin!

Open up your template and Duplicate your template by holding Shift+D close off the original, resize to your liking I did mine at 461 x 461
Delete the copyright info
On the large black square where we will be putting our main tube on, go to Selections-Select All-Float-Defloat, then open up your paper 6 right click copy and paste as new layer, then go to Selections-Invert-Delete-Deselect. Now do the same exact thing for all of the small black squares but using paper 9
Now on the large white frame you are going to change the color to black, so go to Selections-Float-Defloat-Flood Fill with the color black, then go to Adjust-Add/Remove Noise-Add Noise- with settings set as Gaussian and monochrome checked and noise intensity at 100 %, do the same thing for all of the white frames, including the rectangle back
Now on the Clock back, go to  gradient and click Edit then choose a gold, then white, and the gold again, Angle 36, repeats 0, invert checked, linear style. Flood fill then then on the actual clock go to Adjust-Add/Remove Noise-Add Noise- and keep the same settings as you used before. Duplicate the clock and close the duplicate for now. Okay so everything should be glitterized. LOL Because it's just wouldn't be New Year's without any glitter LOL
Okay so now open up your tube of choice, right click copy and paste as new layer, duplicate her 4 times. Close off all 4 duplicates, you will work with them later. Okay so now move her on the now large gold square, see example above.

Okay so now we are going to put parts of the tube in each of the 4 gold squares, I will show how you to do the first one and then you just repeat the same process for the other squares. Okay so on the first gold square on your left, where we will position her head, use your magic wand, then open up one of the duplicate tubes you made earlier and in your layers palette move her above that square. Position her where you want  her head to be.Then go to Selections-Invert-Delete-Deselect, then change the blend to luminance. Repeat the same process for each square moving her body where you like it to be.
you can add any elements you want at this point
Now add a new raster layer on the bottom of your layers palette and flood fill with the same gradient that you used for the clock. Add your mask, then invert the mask
Add your name and copyright info

Follow below to animate your tag.

:Animation Shop:
Open up the 2010-2011 countdown from my Supplies and you will see there are 10 frames, Select All frames (ctrl+A) and resize animation to Pixel Size 103 x 43, minimize for now.
Then go back to PSP, right click copy and paste in animation shop as new animation, then go back to PSP and  close off the original clock, and open up the duplicate clock, then with your Freehand Selections Tool, select around the seconds hand on the clock, then right click copy then go to Edit and cut, deselect. Then right click and paste as new layer.
Now open up the original clock to help you line up the bottom of the duplicate seconds hand as you move it over to the right a little. The base of the duplicate seconds hand has to line up with the base on the original, or it will look funny in animation. Okay so just move the seconds hand over to the right a little making sure you line up the base of the original, close off the original clock,  then right click copy and paste after current frame. Repeat this same process each time moving the seconds hand a little to the right, for a total of 10 frames.
Then go back to the 2010-2011 countdown and Select All, the right click copy and then paste it on your tag. Then highlight frames 1-8 by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on each frame, then go to animations-frame properties and change it to 20, then on the last frame, frame 10 change the frame properties to 200

PLEASE READ regarding my tuts

Okay I am realizing that just because a site says "free" backgrounds or "free" wallpapers, that is simply not the case. A site that I was using was not reliable and after looking into it more I saw a toosh-toosh tube being passed as a "free wallpaper". I just want to say that I am really truly sorry and I feel like an idiot for taking it as "reliable" With that said please discard these tuts if you did them from my Blog, and please discard the "supplies" The following tuts are removed from my blog because I'm just not sure if they are legal
                                 Time for Cocoa
                                  Autumn Bliss
Dashing through the Snow (although I will re-do but without the animation of the bear)

                                  A Polar Christmas

Again I am SO SORRY for the inconvenience. I know I could have gotten so many of you in trouble and maybe already have  I feel so stupid for not checking into the pics I was using. I promise from now on that all my tuts will be Copyright compliant.
